Because good things come in small packages. Thought since the big boys had their own play threads we could all have our own. This is for engines that have a capacity of 3L or less. There's so many reasons to love smaller capacity engines. They're great on fuel, and accompanied with the appropriate modifications such as a turbocharger they can quite easily be some of the faster engines seen on the roads. Here's a great example of a 2L SR20VET doing us Milk Carton people proud! Hell, you don't even need 2 litres to be quick. This is why I can't help but laugh when the V8 guys tell us to "get a real engine"* *No offense to the respectable V8 guys. I enjoy V8's as much as anyone, but there are other engine choices out there.

Small engines are good, need to power our lawn mowers with something. Small engines do alright. Don't need no V8's to be quick.

I don't consider RB's and JZ's to be "small" engines since they weigh more than most V8's and are 5 miles long.
