Hello, and welcome to The Social Thread!
While the staff here at The Social Thread believe in minimal interference with members, we must enforce some rules to allow for the smooth operation of this forum. These rules may be set to change in the future, but we'll make sure to aware you of any changes prior to their introduction. Please consider the following rules while posting:
The Social Thread Official Rules:
1) No unauthorized personal information. This may include full names, addresses, Email addresses, pictures, location, just to name a few. Members effected by this should contact a staff member immediately so they may rectify the situation.
2) No excessive spamming. This includes unauthorized advertisements, or excessive posting in an attempt to boost your post count (for example: "haha lol").
3) Porn/Gore must be kept to a minimum. If the majority of your posts are made for porn/gore, you will be warned and asked to contribute to the forum. Excessive posting of Porn/Gore may breach rule number one, so please consider this prior to posting.
4) Any Porn/Gore mustn't be embedded, but instead be posted in link-form, and must be labeled with NSFW. Goes without saying really. This just allows for easier surfing of the forums.
5) No whining/whinging - If someone calls you a bad name, if you stub your toe, if someone isn't nice to you because you made a stupid post or your opinion on a technical issue was incorrect and you felt like sharing it anyway, DO NOT PM every mod/staff member telling them you want someone banned. You're grown enough to use the internet, you should be grown enough to solve your own issues.
6) With rule number 5 in mind, no being a dick for absolutely no reason. Don't like someone? Fine, ignore them, make a voodoo doll of them and poke at it, daydream about setting their house on fire, whatever. We expect a small amount of maturity when posting here, so DO NOT follow them around like a shadow just so you can talk shit or make stupid troll threads about them, you will be warned and the threads/posts will be deleted. Further violations may get you sent to Band Camp for a while.
Things to consider while posting:
- Everyone has differing opinions. It is wise to accept, and not get caught up over a persons differing opinion.
- Argue the point, not the person.
- Suck it up. Not everybody here will treat each other like princesses, which is exactly fine by us. We expect you to be able to take a joke. If you're offended by anything, swallow it and keep your head high. There are no "in" groups - only people who can willingly joke about each other, and people who cannot.
- Please search prior to creating a new thread. I cannot personally stress how important it is. Either search using the Search tab found at the top of the page, or by using google (if looking for information you mightn't find here).
Aside from that, we here at The Social Thread wish that you enjoy your stay!
If you have any questions that need answering, please forward them to myself so I may help you out further.
Thank you for your participation in the forum!
