I must confess i hate the modified car scene in Australia..... in fact i would go as far as to say i loath it....
90% of them are pretentious wankers all look for something 'different' because they feel the need to stand out....
I only go to car meets now to talk to the 10%.....

No, your $2,000 shit box that you bought off of eBay doesn't impress me, even with that "JDM AS F♥CK" sticker on it. Where's the originality? Where's the effort? Why does a car need 11" wide wheels to be impressive? Okay, my random confession... If I ever see a car advert, and it goes along the lines of "Mint condition, never been thrashed. Call Abdul/Mohammad/Habib", I won't even consider looking into the car. I mean no offense to my Western brothers, but holy shit are you guys the worst when it comes to sales etiquette. Every time I've looked at a car and it's been an Aussie, the bloke has been as helpful as ever and never given me issue. Every time I've looked at a car with Abdul, I'm always pressured with statements such as "Oh there's SO many people looking at it, pay me cash now/buy it now", and the "mint condition" vehicle that's "never been thrashed" turns out to be an absolute nugget with rubber melted into the wheel arch and bog over half of the vehicle. Seriously Abdul, stop fucking me around. |
