atleast the bio-degradable wiring is gone Mine doesn't have that, that's the w202, the e-class after mine. Update No:1So, i went to lowes, bough a terminal strip... Sooo... Went to menards. YEAH BABY. Then i drilled some loose slutty holes. Just so you get an idea of what all i've taken out, and have to put back in. And today's progress.... I CRIMPED A WIRE! That's all for today. I should have a bit more time tommorow, so hopefully more will get done. F@BOY TOP TIP:
It's annoying as shit when your electrical wire unravels, sooooo, get a rubberband...
Bam.
More tommorow.

Crimping one wire and calling it a day. You work like I do. Took me 2 years to pull the 3.9 out of my old white truck, which still doesn't have an engine.

Your car, the W124, indeed did have bio-degradable wiring harnesses, but in the face lift models (1994-1995) when the M104 engine became standard, such as the E320 and what not.
W202 is not an E-Class, its a C-Class. The W202 is after the W201 "190". The car after the W124 is the W210.

W202 is not an E-Class, its a C-Class. The W202 is after the W201 "190". The car after the W124 is the W210. My personal w124 doesn't have any bio-degradable wiring harnesses, i've got one of the cars between both major chassis versions, which makes buying parts online a pain, since it can have either of two versons. I just experienced this issue with the fuel tank strainer. I had the w203 in my head for some reason, which i know is a c-class, but it's nothing like the original w201 was supposed to be, which is why i view it as an e-class. Update No:5
At any rate, fuel tank's out. I'm thinking i'm going to have to replace it, i have no idea why it's so rusty inside, but i'm going to see if i can't salvage it. I don't have a big enough socket (40mm or 39mm?) to pull out the strainer and fuel level sender to inspect it, so i'll have to see if i can't borrow/rent one tommorow.
